Bulletin Article       Mission trip to Omaha, Nebraska with Young Neighbors in Action, July 6-13, 2008 This summer a team of 29 (22 youth, 7 adults) will go on a week-long service trip to Omaha, Nebraska. These teens are taking time from their school vacation, and giving up the money they could be making at work, to help children and families whose needs are greater than their own. We will be among thousands of people around the country taking part in an exciting, national program called, Young Neighbors in Action. During the week we will be involved in a variety of activities, like working in soup kitchens, hospices, and homeless shelters; repairing and painting homes; tutoring and providing recreational opportunities for latchkey kids; working with the elderly poor and others in need.
